I flipped on “The Screensavers” tonight for the first time in weeks (too much work, not enough free time). Lo’ and behold, Kevin Smith is being interviewed. As I caught the tail end of the interview, I jumped online to check out the full thing. Turns out Smith has been on a couple of times. Here a few relevant links, including video of 2 interviews. Enjoy.
A stupid person is a person who causes losses to another person or to a group of persons while himself deriving no gain and even possibly incurring losses.

Gregor found this little gem. It is scary how true much of this postulate is.
Now, here is an interesting piece of technology. Avatars (virtual spokespeople) have been a staple of science fiction books and films for years. PCs and the web have seen other attempts at avatar technology. Remember “Clippit” from Microsoft? In any event, avatars are only going to become more ubiquitous it becomes more cost-effective to produce and distribute them.
Thanks to Robyn for the heads up on Oddcast’s VHost SitePal.
Here is a blast from the not-so-distant past: Weebl and Bob. Llama-Dave from Naugi.com originally turned me on to this toon. I am glad to rediscover them.
P.S. Congratulations to Llama-Dave and his new bride Jessie on thier nuptials last weekend. I wish I could have been there!
Marvin Lewis and Corey Dillon had their wishes granted Monday when the Bengals traded their disenchanted running back to the Super Bowl champion Patriots for a second-round draft pick.
Lewis not only received the club’s fifth choice out of the 96 on the first day of Saturday’s NFL Draft in exchange for Dillon, but he also rid himself of a player that never endeared himself to the Bengals’ new regime and never missed a chance to lobby himself out of town.
The Bengals’ bid to mold Cincinnati into a younger roster more committed to Lewis’ program has now netted the Bengals two trades in 10 days, 10 choices on draft weekend, and seven picks in the first 117 choices that take them into the middle of the fourth round.
Hallelujah! Dillon is a Patriot and no longer a distraction to the new look Bengals. I wish Corey nothing but success in New England (especially since I still have him on my fantasy football franchise!).
Aside from removing a disgruntled vet, what I like most about this deal is the Bengals got what they were asking for, a 2nd round pick. Coach Lewis continues to make his mark.
Thanks to Scott G. for the heads up on the trade.
P.S. I knew this trade made sense.
