i’m really, really, really tired of all the people who want me to take time (which i don’t have) and take things that i have worked hard on, and make it easy for them to add to their site…if you can’t figure it out, you probably shouldn’t be trying to use it…if i don’t respond to them immediately, they go bitch on some forum about how i don’t want to help them, or i want to keep my code as my “preciousâ€â€¦well, guess what?

I feel this guy’s pain. If someone is working on an open-source project, the folks who are using it need to take a big deep breath and give that person some room. And, if he writes something cool and does not want to share it, that is his perogative.
If you want something for free, learn to be sincere, patient and polite when asking for it. The guy is doing you a favor. So, show some respect.

After much cajoling, gnashing of teeth and general hand-holding by me, Drew finally moved his site to Wordpress. Now, he loves me even more.
Speaking frankly, that scares me so much that I have a rash. 
As most know, I am a big Kevin Smith fan. In particular, I really enjoy the way he, like Robert Rodriguez, tends to lay bare and demystify the film-making process.
So, I was happy to hear about ‘My Boring Ass Life’ [silentbobspeaks.com] from Todd. The most recent post is blow-by-blow account of life on the set. This sort of honesty gives hope to independent creatives everywhere.

PS: It is also very cool that Smith’s tech crew chose Wordpress as the blog platform. Clearly, they are brilliant!
